11th September 09, Kolkata: Beauty & awe ruled the evening as the city’s glitterati came together to witness the biggest wedding display – ‘Marriage n Vogue’- The Telegraph Weddings, in association with Elita Garden Vista and Chivas, at Hyatt Regency. Kolkata’s crème de le crème experienced the spirit of the upcoming wedding season through the fashion showcase designed by the most celebrated maestros of India like Ritu Kumar, Jaya Misra, Couturewala, Radhika Singhi, Chutti n Raja, Leena Taneja, Shobana Choudhary, Nandita Thirani, Suman Nathwani, Ekta n Ruchira, Agnimitra Paul, Soumitra Mandol, Priya Awasthy, Dev n Nil, Kiran Uttam Ghosh & Manish Malhotra. ‘Marriage n Vogue’ was a premium fashion evening catering to the wedding season of India & opening doors to the 3 day long exhibit providing scratch to end wedding solutions. The event also witnessed the presence of Ritu Kumar & Manish Malhotra.
The show was choreographed by the Delhi based duo- Meetu and Meenu. The look of the show was contemporary & modern with minimalistic & chic stage design keeping complete focus on the eclectic mix of garments. There was immense diversity in music giving it a festive feel & the emphasis on celebration of life, style & fashion.
India’s leading models such as Gauhar Khan, Aditi Gowitrikar, Shruti Sharma, Amanpreet Wahi, Sahil Shroff and the likes sashayed down the ramp at the pristine evening swathed in the creations which were segregated into 2 segments comprising 15 rounds all together. The first segment of the show commenced with Ritu Kumar displaying her delectable mix of adornment moving on to young aspiring designers who showcased their flamboyant & dazzling creations. The second segment of the evening was kicked off by Ekta and Ruchira with their label ‘Ekru’ and was rounded off by Manish Malhotra whose grandiose garments were a perfect end to the perfect evening. The show was supported by Elita Gardenvista & Chivas.

Manish was der to attend the show... I dont think ne of his clothes were exhibited.
None of the clothes are worth wearing tho... I only liked one outfit off the lot... I completely agree with u pallavi25... We can definitely get better clothes which mght cost 1/6th of the price des designers put...

Really horrible outfits! We can get better ones in Malls. All designers are a bunch of thieves, rip-offs, charging triple/quadruple price for weird designs that cant be worn in real life.
I love the outfits for the women..the men's i didn't like so much
