As the year of 2010 begins, the chain of cinema awards commence. Apsara Awards 2010, which was held on January 9th, was one of the first award ceremonies honouring the best of indian cinema.

Many of Bollywood's stars graced the gala. Kajol, Mugda, Deepika, Abhishek, Aishwariya are just some name.

Priyanka Chopra bagged the best actress award for Kaminey meanwhile King Khan was handed the best actor award for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

List of Award Winners:

Best Film: Ghajini
Best Director: A.R. Murugados
Best Comic Role: Ajay Devgan (All the Best)
Best Actor in a Negative Role: Amol Gupte (Kaminey)
Best Screenplay: Ghajini
Chevrolet Heartbeat of the Nation Award: Shahid Kapoor (Kaminey) and Deepika Padukone (Love Aaj Kal)
Best Debutant Director: Ayan Mukherjee (Wake Up Sid)
Best Female Singer: Shreya Ghosal -Tujh mein Rab dikhta hai (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi).
Best Male Singer: Mohit Chauhan - Yeh Dooriyan (Love Aaj Kal).
Best Music Award: Pritam (Love Aaj Kal)
Best Lyrics: Jaideep Sahni (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Amitabh Bachchan
Most Public Appearance to Promote: Abhishek Bachchan (Dehli 6)
