Hailing Independence far from Home...

Indeed! A bunch of celebrated Bollywood stars on the occasion of Independence week have traveled far from home for the sake of fans over sees. August 15th, this 62nd year of independence will see them celebrate the day of national pride on foreign land in the putting together of an unprecendented concept- the South Asian Carnival 2009. Big names on the banner include the likes of King Khan himself, the much in conversation couple Saif and Bebo, bolly beauties Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Diya Mirza and Bollywood's 'bad man' Gulshan Grover.


For those ardent fans who have only ever dreamed of seeing these faces off screen, this will occasion a chance to 'MEET and GREET' your favorites. This  star studded event to be held towards the rear end of this week - Chicago on August 15th and Houston on August 16th.


Saif with his debut production project 'Love Aaj Kal' running successfully in theaters currently, and Kareena after being well received at box office with her appearance in 'Kambakht Ishq' earlier on as Akshay Kumar's leading lady, both have enough cause to relax and undertake light travel assignments together for a bit. Shah Rukh Khan meanwhile has been predominantly occupied on the west coast of America in concern with the shooting of his 'My Name is Khan', Karan Johar's much awaited SRK-Kajol starrer to be released later this year. He is also scheduled for August 14th to be in Atlanta City, NJ, for an all exclusive evening to be spent interacting with his fans there.


Marked by events like 'Music Performances' and 'Fashion Pavillion', and a glamor quotient riding high as such, the fest presents for Bollywood fans on that other side of the world every reason to rejoice and celebrate the Indian Indenpendence with heightened enthusiasm, as for them this time 'the stars will truly come home!'
