Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment.

The film celebrates the journey of a boy from the Mumbai streets as he goes on to become one of India's most notable rappers. Gully Boy talks about the everyday struggle, grit and, determination of the voiceless and the unseen talents.

'Gully Boy' is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer Singh who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen is playing the role of a street rapper.
