She studied Law and worked as an air hostess. Her husband, Capt. Arvind Singh Bagga was working as a pilot with Alliance Air. He died when his flight Alliance Air Flight 7412, collided with a building at Patna.
She started her career with Vikram Bhatt's Inteha (2003), which flopped at the box office. After a string of unsuccessful movies and several advertisements, she recently acted opposite Shahrukh Khan in the Yash Raj Film Chak De India (2007). She plays the role of a goalkeeper and the Captain of the Indian women's national hockey team.
