Ranvir Shorey is an Indian actor and former VJ.
He made his debut in "Ek Chotisi Love Story" (2002).
He
has starred in a number of high profile films such as Jism (2003) and
Lakshya (2004). He has also starred in the critically acclaimed films
Traffic Signal and Bheja Fry (2007).He had also appeared in films like
Pyaar ke Side Effects , Mixed Doubles, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Honeymoon
Travels Pvt Ltd etc.
He made his debut opposite Manisha Koirala in the film Ek Chotisi Love Story (2002).The film was a box office failure.
His
next film Jism (2003) was a hit but he had a minor part in the film. It
was not until 2006, that he got noticed in the comedy Khosla Ka Ghosla.
The film released to much acclaim and his comic role was praised.
He also starred in the multi-starrer Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007) which was moderately successful.
VJ
turned actor Ranvir Shorey has become one of the most popular faces on
television through 'The Great Indian Comedy Show'. Along with friend
and co-star Vinay Pathak, he was the host of the successful talk show
"Ranvir, Vinay aur Kaun?" which aired on Star TV.
He was
reported of having a short term affair with Puja Bhatt but the pair
broke off soon.He was allegedly involved in a fight with Rahul Bhatt,
brother of producer Pooja Bhatt.The Mumbai police arrested Rahul Bhatt,
actress-producer Pooja Bhatt's brother, on December 22, Ranvir Shorey
filed a complaint against Rahul for allegedly assaulting him.
Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma are said to be romantically attached with each other although both deny the attachment.
His
next film is with Yash Raj Films, titled Aaja Nachle due to release in
November 2007 and his most recent release was "Buddha Mar Gaya"
released on August 17, 2007.
